Two months ago, I wouldn't have believed anyone if they had told me that by the end of June I'd be playing my very first festival set — and that it would be at Fusion. I'm deeply grateful for the trust I was given to wrap the Seebühne on Sunday evening in the sound of some of my favorite producers. Thank you @ju_nixe for discovering me and for the invitation. 💌
Somehow, becoming a DJ has felt incredibly organic. Dreams have been unfolding before I even knew I was dreaming them. Staying humble and grateful along the way is simply how I move through life, and I don't take any of this for granted. As someone who only started playing not too long ago, reaching a milestone like this so early feels surreal. I'm very aware that getting the opportunity to play on a stage often takes years of dedication, persistence and patience. I see this as an incredible gift. Thank you to everyone who believed in me and helped make this happen!
From the moment I arrived until the moment I left, I felt genuinely welcomed and cared for by the entire (Seebühne) crew. I arrived on Sunday and was fortunate enough to miss the most intense heat. All the more respect to everyone who kept this festival alive through extreme temperatures, rain(bows) and storms, while looking after one another and taking care of themselves. Festivals only exist because of the countless people who make them possible.
As a DJ, I see myself as a medium for the producers whose music moves me. Their work awakens feelings in me that I simply want to pass on. When I found out I was playing at Fusion Festival, I lost - and found - myself in searching for sounds that reflect where I currently am musically, creating a journey that weaves together diverse textures, groovy rhythms, emotional synths and vocals into one story. I always choose tracks based on the intensity of feelings they evoke in me. The most beautiful moments happen when those emotions are reflected back by the crowd. Watching some of you completely surrender to the music, smiling, feeling, connecting with yourselves and with each other, reminded me once again how healing sound can be. That's why sharing it has always been one of my love languages. To me, it is also a political act — one rooted in care, connection, and accessibility. Gatekeeping music has never made sense to me. That's what makes my purpose as a DJ so clear: it isn't about me - It's about a feeling that flows through all of us. 🫴🏼✨
Music has always been a place of reflection for me. While looking through this playlist afterwards, I realized that almost every producer I played was male-presenting. I'd love to change that moving forward, so if you have recommendations for FLINTA* producers whose music you love, please send them my way. I believe DJs also carry a responsibility in deciding whose music they amplify and which voices they help bring to the dancefloor - I'm very conscious of that.
Finally, thank you to every producer whose music shaped this set. Your work inspires me every day and continues to motivate me to start producing my own music and keep following this artistic path. I've listed everyone below in the order they appeared throughout the set.
